Academic Conference to Celebrate the 33rd Anniversary of the Korea Institute for National Unification: North Korea’s Two State Rhetoric and Ethnic Separatism: South Korea’s Countermeasures
Korea Institute for National Unification (President Kim Chun-sig) held an academic conference to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of its foundation on April 1 (Mon), 2024, from 10:00 to 17:00. The academic conference was organized to evalute the changes in North Korea’s policy towards South Korea, and discuss about South Korea’s strategies to address North Korea’s two state rhetoric and ethnic separatism. The conference began with the opening speech of Kim Chun-sig, President of KINU, followed by Kim Yung-ho, Unification Minister, and Shin Dong-cheon, NRC Korea Chairman (National Research Council for Economics, Humanities and Social Sciences).
This academic conference was held in three sessions under the theme of △ Evaluation of North Korea’s policies toward South Korea △ Countermeasures against North Korea’s Threat of Unification by Force △ Evaluation of North Korea’s policies toward South Korea and countermeasures.
