KINU (President: Koh Youhwan) held an international academic conference under the title of “30 Years on the Korean Peninsula, 30 Years on the KINU: Retrospect and Prospects” at the Plaza Hotel Seoul, Grand Ballroom (LL Floor) from December 9th (Thursday) 9 AM to 5:30 PM to celebrate its 30th anniversary.

       • Main Events:

           The conference was held under three sessions. The title of Session 1 was “30 Years of Nuclear Negotiations with North Korea: Toward the Korean Peninsula Peace Process” and presentations were made about 30 years of North Korean nuclear negotiations and the implementation of peace and denuclearization in the Korean peninsula. The title of the following Session 2 was “The 30th Anniversary of the Conclusion of 1992 Inter-Korean Basic Agreement: Toward the New Inter-Korean Relations” and discussions were made about evaluation and implication of the Inter-Korean Basic Agreement, proceeding with the inter-Korean consensus, and institutionalization of inter-Korean relations. Lastly, at the Special Session roundtable, in-depth discussions were held under the theme of “30 Years of Unification Policy: Where Is KINU Headed?”
